About the photograph
Karl Friedrich Schinkel's Konzerthaus was completed in 1821 and presides over Gendarmenmarkt, Berlin's most harmonious square. On either side of its steps, two winged genii ride a lion and a panther; here the bronze and the resting man share the same moment of calm. It is a photograph about scale: the grandeur of the building and an ordinary pause on an ordinary day.
Portrait format, in black and white. Printed in 30 × 45 and 40 × 60 cm on 308 g/m² 100% cotton paper, signed and numbered by hand (edition of 25 per size).
